# Sila

> Sila is a scrape and crawl API. It fetches any web page, renders JavaScript and WAF-protected sites in a headless browser when needed, and returns clean markdown plus page signals: title, description, language, category, images, JSON-LD, forms and detected integrations.

- API base URL: `https://api.sila.sh`. Every endpoint lives under `/v1`.
- Auth: send `Authorization: Bearer sila_...` with an API key created in the dashboard.
- Errors use the envelope `{"error":{"code","message"}}`.
- Credits: 1 credit per page fetched statically; 5 credits per page that needed the headless browser, and for any request with a `screenshot` format. Credits reset each UTC calendar month.
- Plans (no card needed for Free):
  - Free: $0 forever, 500 credits / month, 1 concurrent crawl, 50 pages per crawl.
  - Pro: $19 / month, 20,000 credits / month, 3 concurrent crawls, 2,000 pages per crawl.
  - Scale: $99 / month, 200,000 credits / month, 10 concurrent crawls, 25,000 pages per crawl.
- Crawl pages and errors are kept for 14 days after the crawl finishes.
